Virtual Event

Not Another Zoom Call (please!)

Our Client’s 350 employees attend virtual event to smashing success

Can a virtual team engagement event really be as good as in-person? The answer is (surprisingly!) YES

Our Values Driven Client

Following a global merger, our client, a global pharmaceutical company, embarked on creating an all-hands event to foster a sense of belonging, and create a common experience in understanding of their values of Patient, Trust, Reputation, Business. Our client’s leadership team envisioned a highly engaging event that brought everyone together in order to discuss and explore how the values informed individual and team behaviour and ethical decision-making.

  • an international pharmaceutical leader located in 70 countries,
  • all hands event with 350 people across the country.

The Best Laid Plans

To accomplish such an ambitious goal, HR Transformations was engaged to create a unique employee experience. The initial approach included some online prework, and culminated in an all employee event including 35 breakout groups working on values case studies, each facilitated by a trained employee facilitator. Then the COVID crisis hit and disrupted the plan. Gathering employees together for an in-person event was not possible. Initially our Client moved to cancel the event, then the question was asked: Can we create a virtual event that would be just as exciting and meet the goals we had in mind?

A Virtual “Journey” of Learning and Belonging

HR Transformations saw this as an opportunity to get creative and engage employees in new ways. Together we developed a dynamic virtual “journey”, guiding employees through self-learning, instructor led training and small group case study work over the course of several weeks. The team was aware that to keep the employees engaged and interested throughout the journey, they had to employ a variety of learning modalities and methods of engagement.
